Abortion: What Is It?

The argument made for the case of abortion is that it’s a woman’s choice what she wants to do with her body.  And to the extent that we’re talking about her body, I couldn’t agree more.

Tattoo?  Go for it.

Piercing?  Have at it.

Cut your hair?  Dye your hair?  Cut your finger nails?  All yours.

But does there exist a moment in time when the “woman’s body” transforms into the body of the child?  That is, is there a time, after conception and before literal birth when the collection of cells goes from a biology experiment to a living human?

A Quick Study on the Impact of Taxes

Students Demanding That We Tax The Rich

The great debate of the day is The Compromise™. Or rather, what we’re gonna do about  taxes on the rich.  Obama ran on it for two years beginning in 2006.  Liberals believed; believed either that he WOULD let the Bush Tax Cuts expire or that he COULD let the Bush Tax Cuts expire.*

And he didn’t.

He neither could nor would.  And the great debate rages.

New Government Policy

Quick, no googlly-ogglly-Google.

What nation said this:

X-Nation announced on Monday it would lay off “at least” half a million state workers over the next six months and simultaneously allow more jobs to be created in the private sector as the socialist economy struggles to get back on its feet.

“Our state cannot and should not continue maintaining companies, productive entities and services with inflated payrolls and losses that damage our economy and result counterproductive, create bad habits and distort workers’ conduct,”

…the government “agreed to broaden the exercise of self employment and its use as another alternative for the employment of those excess workers.”

Understated Courage

How wonderfully eloquent.

The State of the State of Arizona

Arizona has really shook up the dialogue in America right now.  They are ground zero not only in the crossing of immigrants from South America into North America, but they are now ground zero for the solution.  I’m not sure if Arizona was honestly trying to protect herself or if Arizona passed this law in an effort to set fire under America.  Either way, the effect is the same.  America has noticed.

Palin: Playin With The Left

She speaks with a funny little accent. She uses turns of phrases that are unfamiliar to many of us. And what she looses in technical knowledge she makes up for in “gut feel”.

And she drives the Left crazy.

From Sea to Shining Sea

It started in Virginia and moved to New Jersey.  After that, the momentum swept to Massechusetts [heh heh – dumb bitch misspelled her own state!].  But beyond that, the writing has been on the wall for some time now:

“We didn’t like the Republicans but this, THIS, is NOT what we had in mind!

Shetech

I came across a great Pelosi quote this morning; from Coyote:

Think of an economy where people could be an artist or a photographer or a writer without worrying about keeping their day job in order to have health insurance.

Republicans Can Only Blame Themselves

There is a decent chance, better than 50-50 right now, that Obama will pass his health care turkey.  If he does, Republicans are partly to blame.
