Governments Around The World Call For Alternative Forms Of Communication

Yup.

It’s true.

Man made cancer is here!  And we have to stop it!

Already, Democrat Senators in Washington are crafting legislation that would tax abusive profits that these large corporations are extorting from the public.  All the while, their products are killing us.

A high ranking official in Northern Virginia is quoted as saying, “Unless we get back to 1980 levels, we’re gonna see more and more human death and suffering.  We need legislation to protect the people from this alarming rate of damage!”

New calls for alternative technologies are being sounded.  Taxes are going to have to be raised in order to fund emerging technologies.  Whole new industries are going to have to be created, along with the jobs they drive, in order to fight this global pandemic.

Scientists now all agree, we are going to die!

An international panel of experts says cellphones are possibly carcinogenic to humans after reviewing details from dozens of published studies.

The statement was issued in Lyon, France, on Tuesday by the International Agency for Research on Cancer after a weeklong meeting of experts. They reviewed possible links between cancer and the type of electromagnetic radiation found in cellphones, microwaves and radar.

The agency is the cancer arm of the World Health Organization and the assessment now goes to WHO and national health agencies for possible guidance on cellphone use.

It’s over.

WHO and France, scientists and studies.

It’s over.

Throw your cell phones away or we will ALL die!

Or…..not.

Home Values: Government Regulation Doesn’t Work

Government has no place in the market.  In so much that the government needs to spend money on things that constitute the proper role of government, there is nothing that the State does that is expressly efficient.

The State is unable to address the needs and/or wants of the populace well enough to signal an efficient use of scare resources; resources that have alternative uses.  The government can, by force of gun or sword, dictate where money is spent, to be sure.  But that government has neither the ability or will to intuit that “will of the people who is the mark of a dynamic market.

What does this mean?

It means the government is incapable of spending your money better than you are.

William Barber: North Carolina NAACP

I don’t like groups of people that label other groups of people as racist.  Or of saying that they are doing things for racist reasons.  I mean, do those groups of people even know what racism means?

The belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others.

Does the NAACP really think that a group of people, in this case the Tea Party, really feels that they hold beliefs that African American people have characteristics determined by hereditary factors?

It would seem so.

However, with that said, I don’t believe the answer to such gross mis-characterizations in such circumstances is to respond in kind.

Barack Obama And His Toast To The Queen

Okay, so check it out.

A million miles a day.  A ton of people a minute.  Crisis after crisis.

I get it.  A man gets tired and is often not at his best.

But this is England.  And she is the Queen.  And he should know better.

He didn’t.

And the sad part?  It’s not his fault.  Any more than it’s the fault of a relief pitcher playing linebacker when his coach asks him.

Obama’s not a President; he’s a court fool to the rest of the world.

When You Bed With Leftists Expect Leftist Reactions: California and Facebook

Zuckerberg.  Facebook.  Obama.  Taxes.

When you’re “cool with that” make sure you’re really REALLY cool with that.

Cause if you ain’t, life is a bitch!

California SB 242, proposed by Sen. Ellen Corbett, would force social networks like Facebook to allow parents access to their child’s account(s) and, more importantly, force all privacy settings to their maximum level by default. Parents can request that images or text be removed from any social network page “upon request … within 48 hours upon his or her request.”

Here’s the interesting part: any social network failing to perform these duties will get hit with a $10K fine per incident.

LOL.  I mean; LMFAO!

10k a pop.  Can you imagine what the folks at facebook.com are thinking as they read this news?

The details are incredible.  The chance of fraud unreal.

I just hope that Facebook can learn a valuable lesson here.

When you deal in the gutter with Liberal Leftists, expect those Liberal Leftists to ACT like Liberal Leftists!

Facebook to allow parents access to their child’s account(s) and…request that images or text be removed from any social network page “upon request … within 48 hours upon his or her request.

10k

$10,000

10,000 clams

per “clam”.

Go ahead Zuck, tell me how “cool with that” you are now!

Governor Purdue: Spend More on Education – Tax More on Citizens

North Carolina government continues to debate the budget.  Even as the state’s deficit grows, the governor refuses to step back from spending.  And the number 1 line item in the budget?

Education.

This is governor Purdue’s explanation:

“We cannot go backward on education. It’s part of who we are as a people in this state and it’s what has differentiated us as a leader in the South,” Perdue said, according to her staff. “We are North Carolina, and we have chosen to become that because of our generational legacy of education.”

We cannot go backward.  Backward.

In what way and manner is she thinking we’ll go backward?

Spending?

Sure, but more spending doesn’t equate to better education.

She is preaching the old Democrat canard; Defend the defined solution – Don’t debate the problem.

See, the Democrats feel that the only way to improve education is to spend more.  Therefore they feel that as long as they are able to defend the fact that we want to improve education, and who doesn’t, we should only continue to spend more and more.

Yet not one once of study goes into the fact that education outcomes don’t always depend on money.

When Does It End?

I mentioned the other day, I like going to the YMCA The Y.  I used to go because I liked to run, swim and just kinda work out.  Now, I go mostly to feel better.

In other words, I just hit the hot tub, the sauna and the steam room.

And then I leave.

But I feel REALLY good!

But this week I wasn’t able to get my full allotment of feel good.  And wanna know why?

Government.

Irony

I like going to the YMCA to work out.  Mostly I like going to the tavern after I work out for a beer.  But this is my story so we’ll just go with the whole YMCA thing.

In recent months, the YMCA has shifted the way it market’s itself.  They’re moving away from the “YMCA” towards a more general “The Y”.

Meh.

Who cares?

Then I saw this:

Interesting, huh?  Even catchy.

Ramblin’ Rose Triathalon.

Now look closer:

Pure awesomeness!

The YMCA, in an effort to be more gender neutral, has a “Women Only” event.

Freakin’ Leftists 😉

The Liberals Of Today Don’t Remember The Lessons Of Yesterday

And it’s not their fault.  See, the Liberals of yesterday have grown up and become the Conservatives of today.

Our problem is that we keep having children who become Liberals for a short time before reaching full adulthood.

Now, to be sure, some of those kids become infatuated with the concept of Liberalism and make it a lifestyle, but by and large….our youth outgrow their Liberal tendencies nicely.

Which leads me to this point.

We know that the housing bubble lead to our current economic malaise.  AND we know what lead to the housing bubble.

The problem?  Yesterdays children don’t.

We Dropped the Bomb 66 Years Ago: Look What Happened

Several days ago my friend over at Rational Republican posted about the plight of California.  A once great state relegated to the backwaters of the nation.

After years of continued liberal policies, the state that may very well have been the economic powerhouse of the nation is instead hemorrhaging people, earners and businesses.

It’s sad.

To put it into words, consider the years following the bombing of Japan.

See what the difference is between a pro-growth and pro-liberal mindset.

Consider Hiroshima and Detroit.

RR, you have to move.
