Obama and Egypt

So, more interesting to me than the events occurring in Egypt will be how President Obama handles it.

On one hand, Egypt is a key ally in the region.  And, like him or not, the current President of Egypt is likely the best option as far as a government is concerned.

However, the community organizer in him must be screaming out in support of these people.  It sounds like they are protesting for their rights, for their jobs and for fairer wages.  ALL things that our current leader embraces to his very core.

Will he support the protesters or the President?

Time will tell.

Forgive Me If I Say No

When Barack Obama won and announced he was going to fundamentally change America, I shuddered.  I believed him, and I shuddered.

See, I don’t think that Obama loves the idea of America.  I don’t think that he is even close to comfortable with the concept of individual freedom, liberty and responsibility.

Not at all.

So this doesn’t surprise me:

“Administration wants national ID card for online commentary”

Well Done Boss

I didn’t listen to Obama live the other night as he delivered his speech in Tucson.  Partly ’cause I was busy but mostly because I didn’t wanna listen to him talk on about the events.

I’m jaded.  I’m bias.

My die is cast.

He has a long LONG way to go to create an environment in which I see him in a different light than I did, say, yesterday morning.

But I watched this speech just now.

Devastating Pictures of a Once Great City

Herein lie the results of Liberal governance.  THIS is –or should be–the epitaph of destructive policies from the minds of Leftists.

A once proud and great city demolished.

All here for you to see.

Continue to elect Obama, Pelosi and Reid at your peril.  Support and allow Unions to dominate a city and State at your own risk.  Ignore Liberty and instead plunder and employ force to separate the man from his production and behold; BEHOLD your world Leftist.

Behold.

In Good Shape

Out with the new. In with the old.

So, something happened to me today that sent shivers down my spine.  Something so horrible I couldn’t even bring myself to tell my family.  I was left all alone, in the dark, all by myself.

Did I say I was alone?

And in the dark?

That’s cause the light bulb in the lamp on my night stand went out!

Health Care: 2011 Style

The boys are at it again.  Back on health care.  And, to their credit, it’s gonna be the news of the day.  For many many days.

For example, the new House is going to convene Wednesday and theya re going to, repeat, going to, vote to releal Obamacare.  Gonna happen.

And then we’re in a world of debate as the country wrestles with this problem throughout the next two years.  And when I say 2, I mean that Obama is going to be fighting this through his next election campaign.

Anyway, onto Brad and Britt

I know What’s Better For You Than You Know What’s Better For You

I know candy and sugar and stuff is bad horrible for me.  I KNOW it.

And I know that when I eat garbage like that it only does more harm than it does good.

Except, for, you know, two things:

  1. If I only eat some candy it isn’t all that bad.
  2. I GET to make that decision.

But when the government gets involved, BOOM goes the dynamite!

Can You Be More Free By Demanding Less Freedom?

There are some that would have you believe that in order to ensure freedom, we must first restrict that same freedom.

That we must take a system that exists in the exact way and manner we desire, change it, all to make sure that it never changes into that condition it has never demonstrated.

And these are the same people that lobby for ever ore and more government.  All in the noble name of “Freedom” and “Liberty”

My advice to you:

Beware the freedom fighter who approaches you with the chains of bondage.

They Know This Healthcare Law is Crap

It really started a long time ago.  While the Democrats controlled the Senate with a bone crushing majority, they knew, they KNEW that they had to have 60 to pass Obamacare.

So, they id what they had to do, scheduled vote after vote and passed the thing in the dead of night on Christmas Eve.  The bill wasn’t perfect, but they could send it to the House, tweak it, and get it through later.

But then Scott Brown won.  So the only option left open was for the House to pass the Senate Bill as was.  And they couldn’t do it.

Only they did.

But they knew then that what they had done was crap.

They knew it then.

A Quick Study on the Impact of Taxes

Students Demanding That We Tax The Rich

The great debate of the day is The Compromise™. Or rather, what we’re gonna do about  taxes on the rich.  Obama ran on it for two years beginning in 2006.  Liberals believed; believed either that he WOULD let the Bush Tax Cuts expire or that he COULD let the Bush Tax Cuts expire.*

And he didn’t.

He neither could nor would.  And the great debate rages.
