It really started a long time ago. While the Democrats controlled the Senate with a bone crushing majority, they knew, they KNEW that they had to have 60 to pass Obamacare.
So, they id what they had to do, scheduled vote after vote and passed the thing in the dead of night on Christmas Eve. The bill wasn’t perfect, but they could send it to the House, tweak it, and get it through later.
But then Scott Brown won. So the only option left open was for the House to pass the Senate Bill as was. And they couldn’t do it.
Only they did.
But they knew then that what they had done was crap.
They knew it then.
The recent ruling that the bill is unconstitutional is a blow, to be sure. But it’s one that the Democrats accept with a certain fatalistic calm. They’ll appeal. To be sure they’ll appeal.
And they’ll lose. And they know it.
Know how I know they know it?
Because they’re already admitting the thing stinks:
The Obama Administration has quietly granted even more waivers to one provision of the new federal health reform law, doubling the number in just the last three weeks to a new total of 222.
The feds though have granted waivers from that law, amid concern that certain groups would drop their health insurance programs entirely.
I gotta think that this thing is Walking Dead.
Let’s hope so.
