Do As I Say. Not As I Do.

Leftists.  Gotta love ’em.

Take the question of having to identify yourself to the government.

On one hand they say it’s a matter of individual privacy.  On the other, they say it’s their right.

Republican Rules Are Just as Bad as Democrat Rules

A lot of what I write about here bashes Democrats.  Partly because I have long associated myself with the Republican party; self-criticism is a gift. Further, we have a radical Democrat in office backed by a liberal Congress in both chambers.  And the last reason that I go after Dems more than Repubs is that the errors of the Leftists can impact economies and States.  The errors of the conservatives, while damaging, typically are not impacting on the same scale.

With that said, I know I hammer the Left.  But I can’t let this one slide.

BJ Lawson

We have a great chance here to make a difference.  Mr. Lawson is running for the seat currently held by David Price here in North Carolina’s 4th district.

This is Why I Got Out of Teaching

Look.  It’s hard out there right now.  Lot’s of people are struggling, concerned and sacrificing.  Many people are losing or have lost their job.  And I feel for all of ’em.

Lottery: To Play it is to Lose it

I relentlessly chastise friends and family for playing the lottery.  It’s designed for its players to lose.  Even the way the game is design to create an environment for its players to lose.

Where Brad and Britt Are Wrong: Version II

This morning I was driving to work and had the radio tuned to WZTKBrad and Britt are the morning talent.  The discussion during the segment I caught was “Cash for Appliance Clunkers”.  Apparently I missed the lead up ’cause Brad was all worked up over the fact that folks were callin’ him out for taking advantage of the program.  I kinda resonate with that fact, I mean serious, if you have a 20-year-old freezer and you claim to be concerned about the environment, why is it you will only replace your nasty old hardware when I pay for it?

Anyway, the conversation turned to the other “Cash for…” program, the infamous “Cash for Clunkers”.

United States House: North Carolina

North Carolina had her primaries yesterday.  While there were many races, I was really only concerned with one:  District 4.  This race featured BJ Lawson and Frank Roche.  Both candidates are strong and I would be happy with either one.  However, I was pulling for Mr. Lawson to pull it out.  And he did:

District 4 Primary

We now have until November to get him packing for Washington.

However, there are several other races that have my interest too:

2nd District:  Seat held by Bob Etheridge

4th District:  Seat held by David Price

13th District:  Seat held by Brad Miller

There are other seats held by Democrats, but many of those representatives have a more conservative vein in ’em and really, I would rather focus on the largest of the Leftists.

Let’s see what we can do to get these guys out of office!

How To Sell Less Beer: And Lose Money Doing It

Okay, so, let’s say we own a bar.  And we sell, among other things, beer.  And we need the revenue we bring in from the sale of beer to buy things we like, need and want.  Here is how you DON’T increase that revenue.

What's In Your Tea

Some time ago I began a piece on the Republican Party’s Platform.  Sadly, I didn’t finish it but I made it far enough to illustrate my point.  And that is there are parts that I disagree with.

Who Is This Tea Party

Strange thing happened on the way to the party today.  I realized that Republicans don’t represent a majority of those who affiliate or support the Tea Party movement.  The majority of their supporters are Independents and Democrats.
