We face a critical time as we get closer to the election this November. We simply can not continue with the same processes and methods of doing business.
For right or for wrong, the decisions we’ve made to get us to this point are not going to bring our problems under control. It’s clear that that we need a change, and we need it right now.
B.J. Lawson represents that opportunity. His top 3 priorities are:
HEALTH CARE:
The answer to our health care problems does not come from Washington. It comes from eliminating the middlemen who stand between patients and providers, freeing up the market for catastrophic health care insurance and health care savings accounts, and giving health care freedom back to providers and patients.
Finally, the key to fixing health care is fixing primary care. Our medical “safety net” already spends more than enough money to purchase high quality primary care for every American. We’re just wasting most of that money in unnecessary administrative overhead.
TAXES
I will stand against bailouts and corporate welfare, and in defense of businesses that succeed by serving their customers instead of paying their lobbyists.
As your Congressman, I will renew the Bush tax cuts, oppose global taxation schemes like Cap and Trade or “carbon taxes”, fight for targeted spending cuts to reduce bloated bureaucracy, and embrace a foreign policy we can afford.
SIZE OF GOVERNMENT
As your Congressman, I will push for solutions to these economic issues that empower local economies, not the federal government. I will pursue solutions that embrace transparency and free markets, while rejecting bailouts that favor the politically connected and too big to fail.
Choice is simple.
I’ve long thought that the vast majority of the Left either fails to understand the point of the Tea Party or, and perhaps this is most likely, they are simply to ignorant and unread to understand it.

Now, if I were an ignorant ass wanting to make fun of my mortal enemy, even I would, while reflexively laughing at everything she said would stop mid laugh and think:
Wait. WTF. 1773? Why would she say THAT date. I mean, it would be funny if she said, “Don’t party like it’s 2000”, or “Don’t party like it’s 2010” or some other nonsense. But 1773?
But no. The ignorant Leftists simply LOVE to hate her and attacked out of hand:

When a robbery victim has the gall to try and get their money back!
See, when you’ve made the leap that you can relieve people of their money because you know how to better spend it, it’s WRONG when those people try to get it back.
So, when those people actually DO get their money back, the best course of action is to demonize them. And what better way to accomplish that than by releasing the hounds of war?
The National Organization for Women.
Blessed organization. Right?
I mean, from their own missions statement:
Since its founding in 1966, NOW’s goal has been to take action to bring about equality for all women. NOW works to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society; secure abortion, birth control and reproductive rights for all women; end all forms of violence against women; eradicate racism, sexism and homophobia; and promote equality and justice in our society.
Pretty good stuff. For the record, NOW and I are in step on their stated issue pretty much 1 for 1. I mean, who doesn’t wanna discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society?
Nobody. Noble goals indeed.
So, given that this organization of women is looking to promote equality and justice in our society, who do you think they support for Governor of California?
1. Meg Whitman. Successful CEO. Woman.
2. Jerry Brown. Unsuccessful politician. Man.
OAKLAND – In recognition of his consistent support for women’s equality and reproductive freedom, the PAC for the National Organization for Women’s California chapter today announced its strong support for Jerry Brown for Governor and condemned Republican candidate Meg Whitman’s treatment of women in the workplace and her failure to support a woman’s right to choose.

You have GOTTA be kidding me.
Given the choice between a vibrant,powerful and successful woman, NOW endorses the man.
Maybe it’s Whitman’s stance on abortion? Let’s see:
MEG ON ABORTION
“I am pro-choice. Personally, I don’t want to take the choice away from women and their doctors. The U.S. Supreme Court has fully established a woman’s right to choose. I do however support reducing the number of abortions in America and believe there are limits that can be put in place to achieve this objective. I believe for minors parental consent should be required.”

But that’s not all Jerry Brown has done:
Brown left a voice mail for a Los Angeles police union representative in September. When his voice message ended, a private conversation ensued at Brown’s end, but the call didn’t disconnect at the union end of the line, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Brown, currently California’s attorney general, was talking about public safety pensions and the possibility of losing police endorsements to Whitman because he wouldn’t promise not to pinch them.
“Do we want to put an ad out? . . . That I have been warned if I crack down on pensions . . . that they’ll go to Whitman, and that’s where they’ll go, because they know Whitman will give ’em, will cut them a deal, but I won’t,” Brown can be heard saying.
Then someone — it’s not clear who — says, “What about saying she’s a whore?” Well, Brown says, “I’m going to use that. It proves you’ve cut a secret deal to protect pensions.”
Nice. Whore.
Now, it’s IMPOSSIBLE for NOW to continue to support Brown. Right?
“Meg Whitman could be described as ‘a political whore.’ Yes, that’s an accurate statement,” Bellasalma, President of California NOW, said.
Amazing. The female President of a National Women’s Organization calls the woman in the campaign a whore.
NOW has never been an organization that supports women. NOW is a liberal, feminist partisan organization made up of women. But I could have got that had I read THIS part of their Mission Statement:
The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States.
Ick.

I honestly think that most people want things to work out for the better. That the decisions they make, the things they do, the hopes and dreams they have, will, in the end, make not only their llives better but the lives of folks around ’em too.
So, when I rage against Leftists it’s not because their heart is in the wrong place–it’s because their HEAD is in the wrong place.
For example, when a Liberal fights to establish a minimum wage, it’s because they wanna help the folks who are poor and can’t pay their bills.
When they fight for Social Security, they really REALLY wanna help provide for the elderly in their times of need.
And when they build ethanol plants they do it because they really seriously think that going green is the way to go.
But they’re wrong.

Everywhere I go I see “help wanted”.
You tell me you can’t find a job I call bullshit.
Look, I get it. The new popularity of the conservative movement is that we have to reduce the size of the government. We have to Spend Less, Tax Tess. Reduce spending and reduce taxes.
I get it. I do.
But we can NOT reduce taxes right now UNLESS we reduce spending.
Now, I AM a proponent of the idea that when taxes are raised it acts as an economic inhibitor. That businesses will grow slower or even shrink. That as taxes rise, the amount of money we bring in is actually less than the amount we could have brought in.
But there is a limit.
So, where would you cut?

I beat up on the guys from time to time. Now, in my defense, it’s easy huntin’, but still. I take the boys to task.
However, THIS morning, they got it right. Our topic is Health Care. Some of the “benefits” of the new law are coming on-line and we are beginning to see the effects of that.
Some are good.
Some are bad.
Specifically bad is the fact that McDonald’s will be dropping their health insurance plan, their mini-med plan, because it doesn’t conform to the Federal mandate that plans are to pay out80%-85% of their premiums in claims.
