Only Because I’m In North Carolina

It’s all over the inner tubes….

A teacher at North Rowan High School in Spencer, NC went nuts on a kid in her class because questioned Barack Obama.  And he’s right, she IS nuts and went out of control on this kid.  Out. Of. Control.

But aside from the individual aspect of it, I don’t think it’s news.

There is nothing very new here.

She is a teacher.  And we know that teachers are part of teacher’s unions.  And teacher’s unions vote for Democrats.

We all know that this is prevalent throughout our schools.

Nothing to see here, just keep on moving.

Obamamedia

If there was any doubt about who the media wants to win the election:

I’m pretty sure that this ends the argument about a media bias.

Occupy Raleigh: Good Riddance

After months of camping downtown Raleigh and presenting an eyesore to the whole community, Occupy Raleigh has reached the end of its run.  No longer able to make the rent payments, the landlord informed the group that they would have to vacate Monday, May 7th.

The camp was a permanent presence for a number of months.  As such, it acquired a significant amount of “stuff.”  Stuff that had to be removed.  And for THAT to happen, people had to show up to assist.

I so enjoyed the response:

I’m curious about times to accomplish each of the daily tasks.  I have finals on Friday the 4th and Monday the 7th and I work in the evenings.  Other than that, I may be able to help out some during the day.  I definitely want to be there for the 12th event. =)

Sorry that I can’t help today, Jim. My low back muscles are tweaked to the max.  :(

Going to lay here and read Zinn today, and hope to be back on my feet soon to help out.

Nice, Dee!

I can probably help with reseeding on the 12th but that’s about it.

I am tied up with work but perhaps at some point on Sunday I can help. There isn’t much I can do about that.

I’m on light duty due to my surgery last week.  But, I’ll be there Sat after 1:00 to help sort or haul small items.  I’ll bring some heavy duty contractor garbage bags.

When it’s time/clear enough please post this milestone… then I’ll try to come up with some plantings

I am laid up with my back after working on the Camp Wednesday. Looks like Tayloe and I are in the same boat!!!! I plan on being there on Sunday to do whatever I can as long as no lifting is invloved. What time do you plan on going on Sunday?

I feel awful I couldn’t be there to help today.  I  am at my sister’s for my mom’s birthday and working at the same time.

I am so sorry but I was so hoping I would feel well enought to be there today, but my back is worse and I seem to have a touch of what seems to be food poisining or a flu bug. I feel terrible for bailing on you all.

All of these people so engaged in the movement, yet when it comes time to sacrifice and work…..roaches in the sun.  This might be why these people feel society has left them behind.

Because we have.  I am only so willing to labor extra hard to carry the moochers and the looters.

When Mean People Are Discriminated Against

Bullies don’t need a reason.  And they don’t care that it hurts.  And they enjoy what they do.

Sometimes bullies bully because they are bigger.  Or because they are better at things like football.  Or because they are pretty.  Or because they aren’t doing as well in school.

Or because THEY were bullied.

Dan Savage is a bully.  What he does he does out of a vindictive mindset.  He uses words to hurt people.  And just because he says he’s sorry doesn’t mean it’s okay.

(CNN) – Columnist and gay-rights advocate Dan Savage is standing by his comment that “we can learn to ignore the bulls**t in the Bible about gay people” at a recent conference for high school students, a line that prompted some to walk out and spurred intense online debate.

Some Christian students walked out of the Seattle speech, prompting another controversial line from Savage: “It’s funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansya**ed people react when you push back.”

Savage apologized for that specific remark in Sunday’s blog post, writing that his word choice “was insulting, it was name-calling, and it was wrong.”

Mr. Savage is no different than those who have bullied people all over the world through all of time.  And the fact that he has been bullied doesn’t change that fact.

Barackalicious: Business And Campaign

I’m willing to wager that every Presidential incumbent is accused of using his office to his advantage in the upcoming campaign.  I’m sure Dubya was accused of the practice and I’m equally sure Bubba was just as accused.  So it isn’t surprising that President Obama is taking heat for the fact that he is delivering “policy speeches” in mainly battle ground states.

Fair?  Maybe not, but as they say, “It is what it is.”  *

I think that I can overlook a policy speech on student loans held here in North Carolina.  It has to be somewhere, why not UNC?  However, the taping of Jimmy Fallon and Obama’s “Slow Jam” crosses the threshold.

This is clearly two things:

  1. A campaign speech
  2. Un-Presidizial

He’s jumped the shark and entered into “American Idol” territory.

When you let yourself be called Barackness monster you make yourself eligible to be called a dumb ass.

* Obama is REALLY taking advantage of his office:

As of March 6, Mr. Obama has participated in 191 fundraisers, already topping the re-election cycle totals of George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, who held 167 and 173 fundraisers, respectively…

People Who Are Bad At Money Don’t Have Money

Poverty in the United States is a problem.  When folks are poor they are less healthy, receive less education and are more likely to raise children who are poor themselves.  And there are a lot of noble efforts to curb poverty in the US.  Much of that effort is, of course, centered on taking money from people who have it and giving it to other people who don’t.

There are schools of thought that say, “The wealthy are able to give their children unfair advantages.  We need to remedy this unfairness by proxy; giving money to the children of the poor.”

Not surprisingly, I don’t agree with this.

The Left’s War On Women: They Can’t Stop

This is an amazing experience.   See, normally it’s the left drumming up “victim” scenarios and propping themselves up on the strength of the populist message with not an iota of policy behind it.  This has resulted in the right trying to stand for the tough but correct choices required to manage a country.  For ever it’s been the the democrats setting up these faux stories and then watching the republicans just whack away at vapor.  Again.  Again and again.

I’ve been amazed at how well it works, how enticing that “whacking” can be and then, finally, why the right allows itself to get stuck time and time again.

Now it know; it’s human nature.  See, it’s happening again.

Joe Biden Is A Cheapskate

I just mentioned that President Obama is a liar.  He claims to want to pay higher taxes, yet, when given the opportunity, he doesn’t.  Rather he chooses to shelter his money and keep what he can.  In fact, Obama pays less in taxes than does his secretary.

Ironic.

Now we find out that his Veep, Joseph Biden, is a cheapskate.

The vice president’s effective federal tax rate is 23.2%. The Bidens gave $5,540 to charity, a little less than 2% of income.

TWO percent of the Vice President of the United State’s income went to charity.

And the left has the balls to claim that conservative republicans don’t care about the poor, about kids, about education and the downtrodden.

On the other hand, perhaps we can defend Mr. Biden for stretching his pennies into copper wire.  See, the Liberal doesn’t see taxation as confiscation.  Rather, the liberal sees taxation AS CHARITY!  They feel that by legislating laws that force people to pay for their charity of choice that they have somehow acted in a moral manner.

Beware the Leftist who is willing to spend YOUR money in the name of his charity.

Barack Obama Is A Hypocrite

I have no qualms about lowering my tax burden.  If I can shelter my income in such and such a manner that I pay less taxes to the government, all the better.  On the other hand, I do not advocate that the federal government increase its confiscation of more and more of other people’s money.

Our President, Barack Obama, however, does.

He thinks that it is incumbent upon the wealthy to “pay their fair share.”  Heck, he might get elected saying nothing more than, “The rich aren’t paying their fir share because of George Bush.”

Barack Obama is the warrior’s warrior when it comes to class warfare.  He has nothing but disdain for the rich.  He thinks they have abused the poor to obtain their wealth and refuse to use their riches to benefit society.  He openly advocates for massive income redistribution from the rich to the poor.

But he doesn’t practice what he preaches:

WASHINGTON — For months, President Obama has marveled that the billionaire investor Warren E. Buffett pays a lower tax rate than his secretary, citing it as an egregious example of an unjust tax code. It turns out that another famous and well-compensated American does, too: Mr. Obama.

The president and his wife, Michelle Obama, reported adjusted gross income of $789,674 in 2011, and paid just over 20 percent of it in federal taxes, according to income tax returns and gift-tax returns released by the White House on Friday. The White House confirmed that Mr. Obama’s secretary, Anita Decker Breckenridge, paid a “slightly higher” tax rate than her boss in 2011, on a salary of $95,000.

Un-freackin-believeable.

There Is No “War On Women”

The Democrats, lead by President Obama, are going to craft, create, launch and feed the idea that there is a “War On Women” taking place in America.  However, there is no “War.”  Only a Democratic attempt to manipulate women.

Gas is $3.91 where I fill up.

And it’s not only the Democrats that are gearing up; it’s the media too.
