Back at it Again: Brains or Affirmative Action

Ahhh yes, my favorite morning show hosts are back at it.  Back at sounding rather, umm, well, less than intelligent.

The discussion of the moment is that Palin isn’t “smart” or “educated” but that Obama is.  And the proof of this is the fact that he graduated Columbia University and later attended, and graduated form Harvard aw School.  Further, he served as the editor of the Harvard Law Review.

And that’s where the hilarity begins.

The State of the Union

Many many people are becoming more and more upset with our President.  People are beginning to see him in action and aren’t liking what they see.  They feel betrayed and disillusioned.

And this is not Obama’s fault.

Racism

Ugh.  Ugly.

With very few exceptions, the racism our in the early stages of our nation have been our worst example of Liberty.  It’s horrible and without defense.

But are we reaching new lows?

OJT: On the Job Training

Barack Obama.

You know it’s bad when the far left begins to give you economic advice:

Liberal Democratic lawmakers, including the Congressional Black Caucus, are unhappy with the Obama administration’s pace of efforts tackling the unemployment rate, which is a whopping 10.2 percent and expected to rise.

The CBC, in particular, say Obama officials have not done enough to address the severe economic problems in the black community. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif, reportedly issued a warning Wednesday that the 43 members of the caucus are planning to vote with the GOP to derail a number of Democratic bills if it isn’t addressed.

However bad it is for Obama this, at least, is encouraging:

Labor support is more in favor of funding labor projects, in terms of public works, putting more money into the states and cities but the White House is concerned about the deficit.

Finally.

A New Low

Unbelievable.  Then again, maybe it IS believable.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson on Wednesday night injected race into the national debate on health care, saying any black lawmaker who votes against President Obama’s sweeping overhaul isn’t really black, the Hill newspaper reported.

“We even have blacks voting against the health care bill,” Jackson reportedly said at a Congressional Black Caucus reception Wednesday night honoring the 25th anniversary of the civil rights leader’s run for president.

“You can’t vote against health care and call yourself a black man,” the Hill reported him saying.

What an ass.

And on a second note:

The way to stop discrimination on the basis of race is to stop discriminating on the basis of race.

What You Will Never Hear On Main Stream Media

The other day a story broke about the Texas man that requested his Latino employees to Anglicize their names.

The tough-talking former Marine immediately laid down some new rules. Among them, he forbade the Hispanic workers at the run-down, Southwestern adobe-style hotel from speaking Spanish in his presence (he thought they’d be talking about him), and ordered some to Anglicize their names.

No more Martin (Mahr-TEEN). It was plain-old Martin. No more Marcos. Now it would be Mark.

Not sure where I fall on this one.  I mean, jeez.  On the other hand, he has a point.  If a customer can’t understand your name, it makes it hard to relate to that customer.  Maybe he should have made it clear that he was going to have the employees change their names when he hired them; I don’t know.  But what I DO know is this clip from CNN is awesome.

Just listen to the females reporter’s voice as she “interviews” this guy.  Her tone is simply dripping with intent and scorn.  Then listen as Rick Sanchez weighs in.  I’ll tell ya this much; the Main Stream Media will NEVER play this for you!

We Have A Lot of Work to Do

I don’t know what makes some people tick.  Some folks don’t like ham and cheese sandwiches.  Others don’t like pepperoni pizza.  And other still don’t like vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup and spanish peanuts.  I just don’t get it.  Some people just don’t get it.

But one thing I have always taken heart in is that each succeeding generation will be more racially tolerant than the preceding.   I want to not react by color.  I expect my kids not too.

With that said, this is SO disheartening:

NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long.

Of course the justice claims he’s not racist:

“I’m not a racist. I just don’t believe in mixing the races that way,” Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday. “I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else.”

Dumbass.
