Men And Power

So, what do you suppose it is with men who are in positions of power and the women in their lives?  Why do these guys continue to cheat in the way and manner in which they do?

Or do they?

Are men who are in these positions really more of the cheatin’ kind than the normal population of men?

And why are women drawn to powerful married men?

  1. Before I made my escape from the weird world of Washington DC’s political scene, I remember being amazed by the ‘power groupies.’ You’d go to a party and if a Senator or Congressman was there, there would be a number of young attractive women vying for attention. The number of affairs was amazing (most never being made public). I realized that as interesting as working for a Senator might be, DC was not the world for me!

I suspect that this is true as well.

The powerful are certainly responsible for their actions. However, “basking in the sun” is a massively powerfully force as well.

I think it’s most likely a combination. The powerful are dominant people to begin with. Combine that with the people who want to “glom on” and you have a recipe for disaster.
