Not Nightmare – Daymare

I had a dream last night that Barck Obama wasn’t President.

Then I woke up.

Very scary.

Site Hits

So, back in March and April I was excited because traffic to the site increased by 300% over the previous few months.  I thought I was “on my way.”  Whatever THAT means.

However, May and June not only failed to increase traffic, those months actually came in with LESS traffic than the previous months.

July?  Well, slightly better than June, it’s still well below March and April.

As the month came to an end I was bummed.  I enjoy doing this because it’s a hobby; I have fun AND I learn a lot.  But I admit, part of it is an addiction to readers.  And I was stalling even slowing.

I blamed it on summer, lack of interest and all kinds of other things having little to do with me.  Then I noticed something:

I posted just over a third as often as I did in March, just under half of what I posted in April.

Funny thing that free market.  When less is offered for sale, less will be “purchased.”

Also, powerful lesson in cause and effect.  More often the thing that I want but don’t have has more to do with me, my attitude and my effort than any other single cause.

As I often say;

Go. Do.

4000 Today

We were stuck on 3999 for most of the morning.  Imagine my surprise to see 4000 after the kids went to bed.

48 days this time ’round.

Whoo whoo

Green on Brown

I have been busy this spring. I’m not sure if it’s because I am older or if it’s because my life has simply changed. But I like some pretty simple things:

Best. Month. Ever.

With March ending, I am happy to report that tarheelred had it’s best month ever; not even close.

We had 632 hits this month, the previous best was 406 in November 2009.

I wanna thank my mom and the other 2 people who stop by 😉

3000 Today

It took 10 months to hit 1000.
It took 90 more days to hit the next grand.
This time, it took only 80 days to get to 3000.

I’m still pickled tink that anyone except mom reads this.

2000 Today

I posted this on October 16th, 2009:

This started in early January 2009.  It’s taken me 10 months to hit 1000 views; most of ‘em are my mom.

Here’s to the next thousand.

The first  grand took me 10 months, this one only 2.75.  My mom continues to hit F5.  Thanks mom.

Here’s to the next thousand.
