Mike McIntyre Retires

A nine time congressman is calling it quits.  In a statement released this afternoon, Mike McIntyre is going to retire at the end of his current term.

Districts Redrawn

After the republicans swept into power in 2010, they were able to redraw the district boundaries that designate congressional districts.  Since redistricting has taken place, there are only four democrats in the house representing North Carolina.

It is my guess that this seat will turn red in 2014.
