Well, he’s also leading in most polls, is favored to win the election by most analysts and Intrade, and he had a really successful discussion. The only thing he has going against him is a global economic crisis that no President could have fixed by now. That is serious – incumbents world wide have lost elections for that reason – but he seems to be holding his own despite the problem. I think comparing the conventions gives a reason why Democrats are able to do this – they embraced optimism, stood confidently on principle, didn’t talk about America in decline, and took a page out of the old Reagan playbook. The bad economy means Romney can still win with all his campaign funds, but the smart money has to be on Obama now.
