Free Market Health Care or What Happens When The Free Market Happens

The Left would have you believe our health care system is jacked.  That it sucks and we pay too much.

In that we pay more than we have too, we pay too much.

Either way, the debate is how do we increase results while decreasing costs?  Contrary to every single iota of anecdotal evidence that the market delivers, the Liberal class continues to want to make the government make it better.  The government.

I present to you, via Care Diem, a better way.

As Mark Perry points out, WhiteGlove will see you the same day.  Government care?

…the average wait time for family medicine is 36 days, up 7 days.

The government has no business doing what business can do better.

  1. Beware the IPAB. Independent Payment Advisory Board . This is the instrument of Obama-Care . A bureaucratic power to rival the Federal Reserve . This is the death panel . They will lower prices to doctors to the point of defacto rationing of care . This is the agency Republicans have to attack before it becomes unstoppable . This is the one abortion that must be done . This Rose Mary’s baby is due after the 2012 election .

  2. I think the debate is often miscast. I don’t trust the government. I don’t trust the market. The government is bureaucratic, inefficient, and unresponsive. The market is easily manipulated and benefits those with money most (assuring unequal and expensive health care). The solution I think is a mix of market and government with local control and regulation. The problem is that big money has a huge influence over big government (or even state government) so while the left and the right argue about who is to blame, big money and big government snuggle together in bed sipping champagne.

I think the market is remarkable at providing food and houses and stuff. Don’t you?

  3. Scott ,

The final solution will be something in the middle . How far to the right or left from the middle will be decided by pure political power . In a tug of war the flag is moved by the powers at the far ends of the rope . You have to choose which side you believe is right . You have to decide which end of the rope you will add your strength to . Or you are a bystander and others will make the decision for you .

To me, everything that comes from Obama’s mouth on healthcare is based on some kind on deception . I don’t agonize over it . It will be a question of who has the political power and who loses .
