Again.
I have some time still, but….but 50 is coming quick. And I know that as I get closer I’m gonna give a little speed and agility to my son, all of FIVE, as we play soccer and football. But I simply refuse to yield to him yet.
So, I’m on a mission.
I’m gonna lose 10% of my weight and a run a 1/2 marathon in the next 6 months.
I swear it will be done!
pino,
Good luck with the half marathon . I never got that far. I gave up 10k runs when my back turned to crap in my early 30s. You are pushing 50 and have a 5 year old kid ? I thought I started late . I am 55 and have one more year until I get my youngest daughter out of college . I have a long wish list of toys I am going to blow my money on after next year . 8 years and two kids in college have made for lean times .
I can still outrun both of my daughters. Unfortunately that says more about them than me .
Good luck with the half marathon .
I have more months than I thought. I may try for the full 26.2.

Well….I’m looking at 50. I’ll be 43 in November.
I am 51 but also have a five year old son — and an eight year old. Thanks to my knees I’ll never do a marathon but yeah, the need to stay healthy and in shape is real — and kids are the strongest motivation one can have! But yikes, I’ll be 67 when my youngest is done with college. I did get to travel a lot before having kids, so I can’t complain!
