I posted on an earlier story about media bias. However the main point of the story was missed in the bias stuff; the fact that the US government lost $1.3 billion.
THAT is a lot of money.
Gone.
Flushed.
Never to be seen again.
But the government bailing out the auto industry was a good idea, right?
$1.3 billion is a lot…but in terms of government spending and debt, it’s very small. It has no perceptible impact on the budget and debt considerations. $18 billion of US money seems to have gone missing in Iraq from earlier in that war; that didn’t get much coverage either. It’s interesting in each case, but not “big” news.

I agree; how about this–let’s try to keep ALL the billions in the news?
