The United States has the most expensive health care system in all the world. It’s true, go look it up.
And, if you were to add up the amount of money that we spend on medical care and compare it to other nations, our total would be higher than others.
In the same way t hat our total spend on fish tanks, running shoes, low brow caps, suit coats and baseball gloves is higher too.

Superstar Celine Dion welcomes twin boys
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Celine Dion has given birth to twin boys, finally realizing her dream of being a mother again after a long struggle to become pregnant.
A statement released by St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., said that the 42-year-old superstar singer delivered the boys Saturday afternoon. One boy weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces, while the other weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces. No names have been announced.
What, you say, can be so problematic about this? It’s a beautiful story.
And it is, but check this out:
Dion’s husband and manager Rene Angelil told People magazine that Dion, 42, is 14 weeks’ pregnant after undergoing six attempts at in vitro fertilization. He said they plan to find out the sex of the babies next month.
Get that? SIX times.
A lotta.
And notice, Celine is 4 years older than the max age listed on that chart.
My happy and healthy wife wouldn’t consider having another child at that age, and we didn’t need the help of medical assistance.
Anyway, the point is, it costs $32,000 for 3 tries at age 38. Celine had 6 chances. That means the cost is $64,000. And the twins are premature, which means they’ll need further expensive care.
When it’s all said and done, Celine Dion will have spent in excess of $200-300,000 for this pregnancy.
And bless her. She is highly siccessful and wealthy. And what better way to spend your money than to have a child, or two.
But seriously. Stop this nonsense that the United States spends more on health care and count it as a bad thing.
Go ask Celine.
I’ll bet she would GLADLY have paid 10x that much to have these two boys.
