Sad consolation I know, but I really think it’s true. I think that most people would say that they want less government in their lives, not more. They would like to have the ability to succeed, even if it means they could suffer failure. I think that American’s feel hard work precedes success or comfort. I really do.
So, it isn’t very surprising to me to see CNN and other cable networks flailing. Not only is CNN struggling:
…compared to January of 2009, CNN’s averages were down -34% in Total Viewers for both total day and primetime. In younger viewers, CNN was down even more, -41% for total day and -37% in prime.
Hello
…
Anderson Cooper, the network’s most visible anchor this month, was second to FNC’s Greta Van Susteren, down -35% in Total Viewers (-38% demo) at 10pmET, year-over-year.
And how bad is it?
Larry King’s audience dropped 43 percent for the quarter and 52 percent in March. Meanwhile, Anderson Cooper, who follow’s King dropped 42 percent in viewers and 46 percent among the key 25-to-54-year-old audience.
a strange thing happened in the first quarter of 2010 – the 8pmET landmark show Countdown fared better without regular host Keith Olbermann than with him.
Make no doubt about it, America is turning off the Left leaning stations and are turning to Fox.
In total Viewers, Fox News was the #2 ranked cable network last week in primetime, averaging 233,000 viewers behind USA. MSNBC was #26, CNN was #32, and HLN was #37. In total day, FNC was #4, CNN was #29, MSNBC was #33, and HLN was #35.
