Wherein Pino Becomes A Bee Keeper

I set the camera at hive level.  I forgot I was taller than the hive.  Forgive the annoying “headless-horseman” footage:

I do not know what the “banging” is at 3:10.  Creepy though.

However, in addition to how cool bees are, I’m struck by the sounds of nature in the background.

I love my yard!

  1. The father of one of my closest friends growing up kept bees as a hobby. There was simply no comparison between that honey and the typical commercial stuff you could get at most supermarkets. It had a much more complex and all-around better taste, I would think because that taste was shaped by the flowers that happened to be in the area. The commercial stuff tends to blended from all over and ends up tasting kind of sterile in my opinion.

Most likely it is also pasteurized whereas your buddy’s was not.
