On Faith And God

I’m watching the debate in delay.  And Anderson just asked the question that goes to the heart of Romney’s faith; is being Mormon an issue?

And Newt knocked it out of the park.

None of us should rush in judgement of others in how they approach God.

And then this:

How can you have judgement if you have no faith?

And more:

How can I trust you with power if you don’t pray?

And more.

Who you pray to, how you pray, how YOU come close to God, is between you and God.  But the notion that you are endowed by your Creator sets a certain boundary……

Cain will fade.  Perry has.  And Newt will beat Mitt.

  1. So you’d vote for a Muslim over an atheist?

So, I’m Christian. But I am sure that when a Rabbi, a Reverend and Muslim Cleric sit down and pray…..the same God hears all their prayers.

Would I vote for a Muslim over an atheist? Yes. However, if the atheist was a strong candidate, I’d vote for her over the Muslim. Or Christian or Jew.

It’s not a pass or fail test for me, religion. But it certainly does count.

  3. Newt’s personal life is full of double dealings, mistreatment of others and hypocrisy. By their fruits you shall know them. I think Gingrich is a very flawed candidate and from his actions in the past I would not trust him with power. I don’t think he has a chance, and if the spot light were on him and the personal details made clear to everyone, he might bring down the GOP House with him. Mitt has the best shot of winning it all, followed by Perry and Cain. Huntsman could win if he had a chance to get the nomination. Bachmann, Santorum and Gingrich would be very weak candidates.

  4. Romney wins it. It’s always been Romney, always will be Romney. Bachman, Perry, Cain all got their 15 minutes, but Romeny got all the money. As for Newt, he’s not even running. The man is on an extended book tour. Perrry is getting a little love again this week, but that’s wishful thinking. So much of the base doens’t want Romney. But that’s who they’ll get.

Mitt gets the nomination. Wanna make a small wager?
